My Favorite Photos From My Trip To The Faroe Islands

It’s been on my travel photography wish-list for years now and I finally got a chance to go, and it was awesome!

It took a while to get all the images edited (mostly in Lightroom) because I was on a critical book deadline, but anyway, the book’s done so I finally got them together and I hope you’ll have a sec to check them out.

Thanks much, and here’s to a kick-butt awesome week!

If I may put in my 2 cents, I don’t see any kind of HDR problem with the images. In fact on first view I was already complementing you on avoiding that. I think we all left the HDR thing behind a while ago. I’m heading the the Faroes soon as I can. Iceland is always a terrific trip.

Thanks, really interesting. That saves me a trip to those 2 N. Ireland locations. A couple of the Faroes shots were a touch too HDR-like for my taste, eg the grass roofs shot and the Dark Hedges seemed over brightened. But I’m nit-picking obviously. Thanks again.

Hi, Mark: Can I ask what kind of monitor you’re viewing them on? I just re-checked those photos and they look fine to me. Not over-brightened at all. Wondering if it’s a monitor thing (I have a hunch). Can you let me know? Thanks.

Absolutely gorgeous shots! And the commentary on each of them is spectacular. LOL Love your sense of humor as much as your extreme talent with a camera. The Faroe Islands are on my bucket list for a couple of years out.
