How to Ensure You Don’t Miss Any Spots While Cleaning Your Image in Lightroom
Another great 60-seconds or less tip from Lightroom Team member Benjamin Warde. This one is for when you’re removing dust and specs from your shot — it’s how to make you’ve checked every inch of your image to make certain you didn’t miss any. Check it out:
Thanks, Benjamin. 🙂

Sure you can on the MAC. Go into the spot mode, then over in Navigator (left panel) select 1:1 view, drag the little square section to the top left. Now use Fn-DownArrow.
Great presentation of the great feature. I was not aware of it. Thank you Benjamin
That works even better when you’ve activated the “inverted” mode to see spots more clearly!
Great tip Benjamin – I have a wireless apple keyboard and realized I don’t have the HOME, PG Down & PG Up keys on my keyboard. I also checked my MacBook and noticed it docent have those keys either. I may need to re-map some keys or buy a new bluetooth keyboard with these keys – this is a very useful tool when you need it.
Is it not just the 4 fn+arrow key combinations ? left for Home, right for End, up for page-up and down for page-down ? Or maybe you’re referring to some other generation of kdb that doesn’t match what I used briefly…
Bob – You are correct sir! I did not know that keyboard shortcut, but it works just like you outlined above.
John,
Sounds like you need an updated keyboard. If you dont want to use the older Apple wired keyboard they now make a wireless with all these keys, plus the numeric keypad. For me, when I bought my iMac, I couldnt live without the numeric keypad (use it a lot) and it was the first upgrade, right along with the ram.
Thanks Ed – I may be upgrading to the new wireless keyboard because I do miss the number keypad. Bob’s Tip above does give an alternate way to move through the image with the smaller keyboards (without the home, pg up & pg dn keys). However, the full size keyboard (w/keypad) would give me those keys back as well. Thanks!
