Scott you are a great teacher and educator, without you I would not be producing the quality photographs I do today. You are never too old to learn, keep on writing your great books.

    Thanks

Love all of Scott Kelby explanations of all things photography! Can’t wait to see this book, and would love to be one of the ten winners!

I’ve been using them for, about, 10 years. I still feel overwhelmed. Keep at it. Learn what applies. to you. Everybody has their own “workflow”. I keep a separate text file (notepad) of techniques (and, their url’s) that are I refer, to. Above, all; Keep It Simple.

Hi! One time I alerted you to someone selling illegal digital copies of one of your books on ebay. You messaged me and thanked me and said you were going to send me your latest book at the time. I never received it. I know you are super busy, but I’d be happy as a pig in mud to get a copy of “How Do I Do That In Photoshop”! Your books rock!

      Hi Scott,
I would sure like to get a copy of this book. Dude, what took you so long to come out with this masterpiece?

      Thanks
      Kamal

Thank you so much for your generosity. I feel quite confident with Lightroom, but always have a lot of trepidation whenever I have to send an image to Photoshop. It always ends up being a “Major Time Suck”.

  5. Sin Mow 9 August, 2016 at 19:55 Reply

I’ve borrowed almost every book of yours at the library and own The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 Book for Digital Photographers. I’d love to own more of your books!

  6. James 9 August, 2016 at 17:57 Reply

I’ve been a long-time user of both Lightroom and Photoshop, but I am essentially self-taught. Consequently I am moderately skilled, yet do not know how to properly/effectively apply techniques and adjustments which a professional can likely do in a matter of minutes. (It recently took me 2.5 hours to do some blending — which I am certain you could’ve done in 5 minutes. )

I’ve only recently discovered your site and must say — as an instructor myself — that your videos are excellent and informative, and address essential skills which allow us take photography to a new level.

I would dearly love to be one of the lucky 10 to received this book, which would be a tremendous asset in my “tool box” and would without any doubt allow me to break free of many technical constraints.

Either way, deeply appreciate your site and skills!

I would like to thank you for making your books so readily digestible and easy to understand! I have encountered some significant obstacles the past many years (multiple head injuries), but your books have taken my photography and image enhancement to another level. If you have an opportunity, please visit my web site below (tomin8or.com) to learn about my work and my story. I know you must be tremendously busy, but i would like nonetheless, to invite you to my web site. Namaste!

I no longer seem to come across new tips and tricks in Lightroom that I don’t use already, and I know the next step for me is learning Photoshop for more complex edits… but I’m too scared to make the jump from something I’d describe myself as ‘highly proficient’ in to something I don’t have a clue about!

I think the way you’ve written this book could be perfect for me – learning how to do specific edits in PS that are impossible or very difficult to achieve in LR.

  14. Petra Lubberich 9 August, 2016 at 13:05 Reply

Dr. Mr. Kolby, I like how you edit your photos; some of your books i have in german. I would like to win a book, even if my english is not the best. The more I read slowly and learn from it. Again and again ;). Im still learning in Photoshop CC and would like to try your workflows. You are a great artist – and sorry Nashville is too far away. Lot greetins from germany and all the best for you!

Your RSS feed is the first thing I look at every morning. I’m still baffled by Layers and Masking. To my knowledge Layers refers to cakes and Masking has something to do with robbery, Maybe this book will enlighten me. Even a 74 year old dog should be able to learn Photoshop.

  22. Patrick C. Hutchins 9 August, 2016 at 09:12 Reply

This book may change my life forever…. Photoshop is too big to know everything. This will bride a vast gap.

I got to see you in Indy for your Shoot Like a Pro tour. I was hoping to see you again this year, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to work out. So maybe if I win this book I can still tap into your knowledge. Thanks for the opportunity!

I would love to win your book. I use Lightroom the most but, when I do use Photoshop I always have trouble remembering the little tricks, mind you have a lot of your books. The first includes The Photoshop CS6 book for Photographers which is huge and full of information the only down side is it takes a little while to find exactly what I need. My memory just isn’t what it use to be. My favorite so far is the Professional retouching for photographers book which I’ve read twice. Then there is watching all the videos on your KelbyOne site which are all helpful. I believe this book would help me remember the stuff I need quicker than I have before. Always love reading your books and watching your content keep up the great work.

The headline says “I’m Giving Any 10 Copies of My New Book “How Do I Do That In Photoshop?’,” but I suspect it should say “I’m Giving Away . . . “

Photoshop can be learnt by going through a book. But not all books can provide you easiest way to learn Photoshop which I have always learnt by going Kelbyone videos. By getting it in book would definetely enable me to learn things at any time without switching on to PC.

Whoa! The Tweet about this giveway just popped up on my desktop notifications and still over 100 peeps beat me to the comments section, LOL

Love Scott Kelby’s books and videos. I initially learned how to use Photoshop in 1996 on Photoshop 3. Oh how its changed. I stayed current on it up until the first Creative Suite, but now I just wing it in the newer versions, using Kelby videos here and there, until I get my images to look like I want.

Would love to win a copy of this book, how awesome would that be.

I’ve bought any number of your books, starting with CS2, so a freebie would certainly be nice. When I got into PS it took me a few tries to find the right book to boost me along. Yours was it.

Always wondering how to do various activities in PS – Googling just brings up videos of people who can’t explain the task properly, or obviously don’t know what they are doing. I’d love to have professional advice to hand by having a copy of your book beside me!

  208. Tony C 8 August, 2016 at 03:42 Reply

The thing I enjoy most about Scott’s books is the humor. Sure, the topics and the explanations are great, but you gotta admit that apps like Photoshop and Lightroom can get pretty mind-numbing, no matter how much you are interested in them. Scott’s method of supplying a “time-out” every so often gives the over-worked brain a rest. At my age, that’s critical!

Besides, this would look great next to “How Do I Do That Lightroom in Lightroom?”

    Thanks, Scott.
