Free Lightroom Presets – Nostalgic Summer Collection from Pretty Presets

Happy Monday everyone. I hope all the dads out there had a great fathers day weekend. I know I did.

This week, Laura (from Pretty Presets) was kind enough to donate some free presets for me to give away. The images here show the before/after samples of the 3 presets in the download below (from various collections). If you like them, she’s got plenty more available over at at Lightroompresets.com so make sure you stop by and pay her a visit.

Heres the link to download the sample presets. Enjoy ’em, and don’t forget to stop by Laura’s site and check out some of her other collections. Have a great day!

I can’t wait to go home and get these presets into my new Lightroom! I took some newborn pictures yesterday, and would love to see how I can make them more fun looking. I will come back to report soon! Thanks again!

Thanks for sharing these! I’ve just recently found your blog and am enjoying learning my new LR3 very much with your tips and suggestions — fav so far has been the flagging and mass deleting rejects! Such a great time-saver!!

Hello Joanna! Thank you so much for your question. The “Golden Hour” preset is for jpegs and the other two are for RAW images. I hope this helps! Respectfully, Laura

Hello Dennis! I’m so sorry to hear that. I haven’t heard this before and am wondering if maybe a jpeg preset is being applied to a RAW image? That could make them come out different. The “Golden Hour” preset is for jpeg images and the other two presets are for RAW images. I hope this helps! Thank you so much.

Thanks for the reply Laura, That definitely might make a difference. “Golden Hour” was used on RAW, that’s all I shoot. So that makes sense. Having not shot an image in JPEG in about 4 years, I didn’t even consider it could be for JPEGS. I will say the “Marilyn” preset worked a lot better, I tweaked it a little to work better with my images, and the toning on it was perfect. I will try the Golden Hour on a JPEG image. Thanks again for the reply. Hope I didn’t come off as rude.

Is there a website where you can download to try this feature, before purchasing it, to see if this is what I’d want. I want to make sure I get the right thing ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!

Thank you very much Laura and Matt,
I am not much of an expert, but I think your presets work really well.

Thank you for making your material available for free!

Hi! I’m new to lightroom, but I have bought, won, and downloaded free presets from you, and when I apply them to a sharp picture, the picture blurs. How can I keep this from happening??? I feel dumb because I’m guessing i’m doing something wrong????
    Thanks!

Hello! Thank you for your question. You can adjust the clarity and that should help if there is any kind of blur of soft look. I hope I am understanding your question correctly. If this doesn’t help then please don’t hesitate to let me know. My email address is patchlaura@hotmail.com and I would love to help!

Can you tell me please, what I`m doing wrong, if I click Import, the program keeps saying Error – The preset file was the wrong type of preset. (for all 3 presets). I have LR 2, version 2.4.

Lynn, I’m so happy if these will help! We have a few more on our website and hopefully those will be of some assistance as well. Thanks Lynn and enjoy your day.

Thank you for all the kind words Suzy, Effie and Ron. It’s so much fun to share and we’re honored to have the opportunity! Ron, as of right now we don’t have any custom bundles. We’ve found so many people think they only like a preset or two and end up enjoying the whole collection. I appreciate your question and am so happy you are enjoying the free presets.

    Thank you Laura,

I have visited your site in the past and have the other 2 free ones you offer there.

Is there a way to bundle certain presets from different collections in to a say custom pack? I like several from the different ones and would be very interested in building a collection of the ones I would probably use most for my shooting style.

    Ron
