Correcting Difficult-to-Remove Spots in Lightroom
It’s Tuesday — time for a 60-second quick tip from Adobe’s own Benjamin Warde, and once again, you’ll find this one really handy – he shows a little-used setting that makes the process SOOOO much easier in those tough situations. Even if you use the Spot Removal tool a lot, this is really worth watching.
I knew you’d find that one helpful (and thank you, Benjamin).
Here’s to a rockin’ Tuesday, in a great week!
Best,

Useful tip.
Thank you so much!!!
great article
Thank you so much!!!
This is a useful tip.
So helpful. Thank you so much
Wow, I teach Lightroom and didn’t know this one. I didn’t know changing the overlay changed the function, I just thought it changed the view. My workaround had been to just sneak up by starting next to and area that I had just brushed, and brush over.
Oh I will use that ALWAYS!!! Thanks.
Why not just hit the H key on your keyboard. I find it faster.
Interesting article! Thank you for sharing them! I hope you will continue to have similar posts to share with everyone!
Very, very useful! Thanks. Great tip!
Where is the Tool Overlay in the latest 2015.7 version of Lightroom please?
It’s not in the drop down menu of VIEW
I’ve now found it under TOOLS (Not VIEW) where it’s ticked as “Autoshow”
However I can’t find the relevant Tool Overlay Popup at the bottom of the screen.
Your help would be appreciated. (My version is 2015.7.1)
Hit the T key to bring back the Toolbar.
I still cannot find the Tool Overlay Popup.
After hitting T there are two layers of tools:
The first layer contains : Copy, Paste, Large View, Before & After, Select previous photo, Select next photo, Soft Proofing.
The second layer contains : Main Window, Second Window, Library grid, Go back, Go forward, Collection, Filter, Filter based on ratings, Filter based on Colur label, No filter
However nowhere can I find the Tool Overlay Popup.
I’d value further guidance.

Awesome! This has been bugging me for years. I have always used this as my signal to switch over to Photoshop. Not any more…
Beautiful Post
