Creating Your Own Custom File Naming Templates

Hi gang and happy Friday. I came across this video from Adobe’s own Julieanne Kost, and it’s on creating a custom file renaming template, and I thought you guys might find it helpful (it’s really informative). So, without further ado (yes, that was ado), here ya go:

See, I told ya that was good! Thanks, Julieanne!

If you’re looking for a Lightroom class to watch this weekend…
May I be so bold to suggest a class I did called “Designing Beautiful Wedding Albums in Lightroom.” This is a very different class than you might think — watch the short official trailer (below), and you’ll see that it’s really about the design of the album, and creating layouts that you probably didn’t think you could even do in Lightroom.

Hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Great tip! I’m a day 1 LR user and my file names are a mess. I’m going back in this pm and make and use some new presets.

The renames a great tip, but can this be done on import?
Currently I edit the “TranslatedStrings.txt” hack to set it up as \\\\\Filename

Were the file renaming extended to do this but without silly workarounds that would be outstanding.
