Lightroom Presets

Presets – Single Photo Flush Left/Right preset

Time for another print preset. I was creating a photo book from Shutterfly.com the other day and came across this really neat idea for a preset. See, Shutterfly’s website allows you to customize the layout of each page in the photo book. Two of the choices placed the photo flush against the left or right side of the page. I saw it and immediately thought “Hmmmm, I wonder I can do that in Lightroom?”. After a few minutes of adjusting the layout settings I realized you could not only recreate the position of the photo but you could also recreate the caption area they had as well with the Identity plate. So give ’em a try and let me know what you think.

    Matt,
Nice Template! Thanks! Question: When is Lightroom going to allow us to set up a page with different photos in other than the very few options we have now. I’d like to do an album page with different photos, with different sizes and flexible location on the page. I guess this is on my wish list for the next update.

You say “you could also recreate the caption area they had as well with the Identity plate” — How did you do this?

    Matt,

When printing to jpeg in the print module, is there a way for the name of the image/file you’re printing to be used in the Save As dialog box? This would save tons of time/typing. Thanks!

    Matt,
This template is also downloading from the “2×2 print preset” from Jan. 6, 2009. The 2×2 is now gone. Just tried viewing and downloading it, unsuccessfully. Thanks.

    Cool, thanks!
i do suggest you to call “TEMPLATE” the ones for the Print module and “PRESETS” the ones for the Dev module to avoid confusion and also lots of emails.
