News – Training on the Road

Hey folks. I figured I’d give you a quick update on where I’ll be teaching over the next couple of months in case you can make it out for some live training.

• First, I’ll be at teaching the Photoshop CS5 for Photographers seminar in Austin, TX this Friday (Feb. 4). This is such a fun day to teach and it’s awesome to look out into the crowd and see so many “Ah ha!” moments. I hope you can join me. You can find the day’s outline and more info here.

• Next up I’m teaching the Lightroom 3 Live Tour in Houston, TX on March 8th. If you’re looking to learn Lightroom this is the day to learn it. More details here.

• In March I’m actually going to try to attend a workshop for once. I’ve always followed Joel Grimes work and I think I’m finally going to get the chance to take one of his workshops. Compositing and merging Photoshop with Photography is one of my favorite areas, and I think Joel does a great job at it. I’m definitely anxious to see him work. His next workshop is on March 26-27 in LA so maybe I’ll even see you there.

• Of course Photoshop World is rapidly approaching. We’re holding it in Orlando, FL on March 30 – April 1. I have to say that this is one of my favorite times of the year. For 3 days, I get in front of the people I spend the year working and teaching for. Instructors love it… attendees love it… if you can make it out for this I can’t encourage it enough. Plus you can still save $100 if you sign up in the next few weeks. Here’s the link.

That’s all I know about for now, but things will definitely change as new seminars come up. I’ll be sure to keep you posted here as things get added. Thanks for giving me a minute. Have a great day.

I would like to register for Houston, Lightroom seminar but the link is broken, I cant view any details other than adding the item to cart. Also, not sure why all the comments to this post are coming in RSS feed, please fix it.

Matt, sorry for the inconvenience but can you please remove my email address from the comment I posted on the posting for Jan 31st? I am afraid I should have not put it do to spam.

    Thanks for your help!

    Matt:

Thanks for keeping us updated on your tour schedule. Hope to see you in Boston this year! But no matter who comes to Boston, I’m sure I will enjoy it. I saw you and Corey on seperate tours last year and really took a lot away from both seminars. Anyone that hasn’t made it to one of the Kelby tours needs to make a point to go….great stuff!

Still patiently waiting for D-Town to come back!! (hint, hint)

    Best,

    –John

    Where’s the tip, Matt??!!

You always follow up a post like this with a tip at the bottom. I am soooo disappointed. 🙁

    I enjoy your posts, man.

    take care

Matt, I just viewed your tutorial about going from iPhoto to Light Room 3. I currently use iPhoto and Photshop CS5. I am very dissatisfied with iPhoto ’11 (before, my workflow was without problems, thus my interest in moving to LR). Why in your opinion would one want to export all images out of iPhoto into Light Room? I have my reasons, but want to know what you think. Thanks. Al

Hey Mitch. There will definitely be more cities this year. I just don’t know where yet. Everything that we have planned is up live at KelbyTrainingLive.com. So if you look at the dates there you’ll see what we have coming.
      Thanks.

    Hi Matt,

On the road again, I see! Hey, will you ever come to Denver to do a Seminar? I’ve seen Scott, Ben Willmore, and Joe McNally, but no Matt. Would love to meet you and talk Lightroom and PS stuff!

Have a Great time in Austin and Houston!

    Dennis
