I’m Giving Away 10-Copies of My “Photoshop For Lightroom Users” Book

10copies

Hi everybody — to help shake off yesterday’s “No Comment Monday” (save for a last-minute comment or two by Lyle) today I’m giving away TEN signed print copies of my book, “Photoshop for Lightroom Users.”

To enter, just leave me a comment here, and you’re entered. I’ll pick 10 winners on Friday end of day; I’ll sign each one and get ’em out to you no matter where you are in the world. Good luck everybody!

Here’s a video (below) that explains the book (that way, at least you’ll know what you might win).

Good luck everybody! (Note: in case you don’t win, or you want more info, here’s a link to the book on Amazon & Barnes & Noble).

Best,

-Scott

I’m too poor for classes and buying books on this topic – literal starving artist here. Winning this book would really, really boost my work, confidence and, as silly as it sounds, my life. You are wonderful and it’s a grand gesture you are offering. I hope I’m considered, this would be the link to a missing piece in my work.

This is awesome! I’d love to have one, but there’s so many commenting on this post hahaha it’s a little bit depressing. But anyways, who cares! I want one! 😀

I have benefited greatly from all of the web tutorials and the live presentations. Having the book beside my computer as I am working to remind me of commands and techniques would be of great value and make my workflow much more efficient. Thank you for your great learning tools.

I’m sure I would enjoy this book as much as the others of Yours I have read Scott. But I’m always a day late and a dollar short

I have bought all 5 volumes of your Digital Photography book series in Hungarian edition and none of those had a grey card page included 🙂 Your books influenced me a lot and since I read them I use Lightroom for photo editing. I would like to make one step forward and would be very glad to have this book not to mention your signature on it. Thank you

I saw The Lightroom Show on ZITE and I’m hooked. Scott and RC are perfect hosts and very easy to listen to. The short duration is perfect for my attention span. I just got CC Photography and need some help with PS. Love KelbyOne…Cheers!

I would love to have this book! It would be so helpful to focus on the Photoshop capabilities that will be most useful to me as a photographer. Another question…how can I catch up on the Lightroom Show videos I’ve missed. I only see 3 videos on YouTube, and I can only find #7 on the Killer Tips sight. Thanks!

Big fan of Kelby one, esp. Scott’s videos with Jay Maisel and most recently Maisel’s Light, Gesture, Color and (shortly) It’s not about the f-stop. Scott, thanks for all the great information you put out there. It really helps one to be a better photographer.

I would love a printed copy of your book just as much as I love Lightroom. I have picked up a lot of your tips over tha past years, so I hope I would be one of the lucky ten.

  16. craig 26 March, 2015 at 23:01 Reply

I have mastered Lightroom, partly due to your website, and a lot to do with the no Photoshop for a month. However, I wish that i could learn to use Photoshop, so you book would be of great use. I actually had your DVD’s for Photoshop 3 and tried to learn layers (with the food on the plate). It was tough.

  17. Andreas Exner 26 March, 2015 at 21:53 Reply

You have a great business instinct with this show and a lot of other things at Kelby Media. However, I never lost the feeling that all education you offer is driven by having a passion for photography and helping other photographers to improve. Makes the difference for me in a world of oversaturated information.

I’ve wanted this book or some time but could really afford to buy it as I don’t make much money working at the ORPHANAGE FOR KIDS WITH NO PETS OR DREAMS OF A FUTURE. Honestly, I don’t do it for the money. The job is its own reward. Although, it sure would be nice to read them a real book instead of the out of date issues of popular science that get donated by the local dentist. By the way have you guys heard about digital cameras? No kidding, they don’t use any film. I just read the kids and article about it, they couldn’t believe it either. What’ll they think of next.

    Scott,

I am told there is truly a reason why one must learn Photoshop?
Is there a reason? Why do you feel LR and Photoshop go hand and hand? I own Photoshop and it’s installed on my computer, but never used …

3 yrs ago I had the honor of attending one of your conventions in Sacramento and learning light room from one of the best of the bests, Matt Kloskowski. Perhaps, it’s time for your book and more education? Time for more growth? You tell me! 🙂

My fellow photographer friends have told me for years I must learn! I would love to know your opinion for I am often made fun of because I refused to learn Photoshop! If you truly feel it is a necessity then, I should be a winner! Help guide me through this learning process!

  64. Jennifer 25 March, 2015 at 11:33 Reply

    Scott,

After attending your seminar in Sacramento 3 years ago, and learning LR from one of the best, of the BEST, our own Matt Kloskowski, I have to be honest…

Scott, I am SCARED to learn Photoshop! I know it’s important and understand the value that go hand-in-hand using both. It’s truly a fear factor! My friends make fun of me….

I would love your HELP! Help me break my fears and sit by my side with your most important book! Expanding my horizons is exactly what I need, I would be honored to following another. Instructional book of yours, sitting right by my side, showing me and teaching me Photoshop.

Hi, as a hobby photographer I would love to learn more about LR.
I hope you allow Canadians to enter. If not…..I’m sorry for taking up space 😉

As an intensive LR user, it would be great to have a copy of this book!

Btw, It might be a good idea to place the ‘submit comment section’ on top of the comments. Scrolling over 1,365 comments isn’t that nice. On a computer it’s fine, on an iPad it’s frustrating!

I’m an amateur photographer who loves your work – your Photoshop CS2 book was my go-to for a long time, and my dad’s as well. I’d love this!

  85. Kris 25 March, 2015 at 07:03 Reply

I am an amateur photographer. I did an outdoor baby announcement photo shoot for some friends back in February. I learned that day about always checking your exposure!! Mine was set too high and I had too much light on their faces. It was so bright outside that day I could not see it on my playback view. I was blessed to have a friend who knew Photoshop and he sat with me for 4 hours in a coffee shop helping me save my photos! Very thankful for his knowledge and very thankful that Photoshop saved the day! I still have a lot to learn.

I’m going to be cheeky and say that I definitely should be one of the ten lucky ones, simply because you and your book will have to convince me that Photoshop is actually still a necessity when using Lightroom as I have done since its very first beta release in 2006. :)))

But honestly, I get to Photoshop and start feeling lost. I would love to learn more, and you seem to explain things in ways I just get, so I would love to win this.

DONT GIVE ONE AWAY TILL YOU HAVE READ THIS.

Hey Scott, imagine this, a middle aged guy looking for that change in life so he could walk away from the office and spend time doing the thing he loves and with his family he loves. One day his wife bought him a dslr for his birthday and said. “I want you to make great photos of our new baby girl” four years later. We have some wonderfull picks of little Rebecca and Marta and we are blessed with our little boy Thomas. Dad is still working his 9-5 but loves to learn about his hobby which he spends his very little free time doing.

He buys your book , lightroom 5 for digital photographers and sees just how powerfull this tool is with a simple down to earth easy to follow guide… Great book by the way.

Then he wins this copy from you and goes on one day to perfect his art and live the dream.
Well we can dream cant we? until the day my biggist critics (my family) 🙂 say i am consistently good enough to tell the boss to stuff his job and pick up the trusty old Nikon every day to earn a crust i guess i’ll just keep reading, watching, listening and learning.

Best and keep speading the word.

    Hi,

Winning this book would cap a marvellous 6 months in my development as a photographer, a period where I have already benefitted from a number of Scott’s brilliant publications, as well as many words of wisdom from the brilliant Cindy Snyder!

So, even if I don’t win this time, I am already a winner, as I’m a far better photographer than I was only a matter of months ago!

Thank you for everything, Scott and your wonderful team!

    Cheers!

I have always been a fan but after reading Voices That Matter I was completely hooked & convinced my Mother who at that point had been using Lightroom on her own for years because she was overwhelmed by the choices presented (photography is a light hobby of hers). Now she & my Dad, who I swear read it just for the humor, are now part of the Kelby fandom.
As for me, just like the video says, I’ve shied away from Photoshop because I want to learn it right (not develop bad habits early) but it really is like learning an entirely new language. I think it would help me advance significantly if instead of trying to go from page one to page (Have you *seen* the official manual?! lol) to go about it your way first.
Regardless of a win, I’ll be buying it but a signed copy would sure be nice. 🙂

Well, since Lightroom 5 I have already stopped using Photoshop. I know I miss some Ps features and that book could fastly navigate me thought that.

Anyway, if I don’t win a copy, I will continue reading you and watching your shows 😉

I’ve been a lightroom user since version 1 and even before (when it was Rawshooter) and I’m still learning things from your great show. Keep up the good work.

That’s what I was waiting for a long time. I am looking forward to learn what I really need from Photoshop as a photographer.

Great offer. I recently switched from using open source solutions (was placing my hopes on the GIMP and Digikam) but the LR/PS photographers bundle made me rethink.
As someone used to completely different programs I am a little overwhelmed by the amount of abilities both LR and PS offer – and I often find myself wondering where the line should be drawn between what I should do in LR and when I should turn to PS. As someone who is used to the GIMP for example sharpening always was the last step in my workflow – but LR offers some great sharpening options itself, yet if I ever need to do something that only PS can do, haven’t I closed that door already by working out the sharpening in LR? Maybe it’s something you can shed a light on…

Great Give-Away! I am a big lightroom fan and user. This Book would help me work better with the not good known Photoshop. And Thanks for the killer tips, they help me a lot…

  362. Stephen 24 March, 2015 at 03:39 Reply

Yes please! Count me in as I have been procrastinating about getting Photoshop having used Lightroom for a couple of years. Getting this book might just push me into making that decision!
