You Can Still Rate, Rank & Label While in Full Screen Mode

fullscreen

When you’re in Lightroom’s Full Screen mode (just press “f” to get there), you can still apply Flags, star ratings, Color Ratings. etc., while you’re in Full Screen mode (the tags you’re making are shown in lower left corner of the screen— see the red arrow here).

Also, if you press Shift-F, it toggles the window header on/off. Press it again and it hides the menu bar now, too. If you press Shift-F again brings them all back.

There ya have it — short and sweet!

Best,

-Scott

P.S. Above — that’s the view from the rooftop lounge at the hotel we’re staying at, at dawn yesterday morning. Shot with a 14mm super wide angle lens.

I notice the flags, stars, or color rating only show for a few seconds and don’t show at all if they were previously applied. Is there a way to keep the flags, stars, or color ratings always showing while in full screen mode?

Kinda. Almost. Sorta. Close. Not really, but… well.

Choose “Fit” or “Fill” on the Navigator panel (you’ll have to experiment which works out better on your monitor).
On the rating toolbar – check on – View Modes | Flagging (and at least Zoom) and others you use…
Window | Screen Mode | Full Screen
Hide all the panels with F5,F6,F7,F8
Run the Zoom slider to get as full screen as possible.

That will keep your flags showing, albeit not with the total screen real estate dedicated to the image. It would have been nice if they’d made the full screen mode display the fading gadget be not shown, shown or fade out as an option somewhere…

      Maybe that helps ?
