Want Your Photos Critiqued? Join Us Live Today at 4pm on The Grid
Hey everyone. For the last few months, Scott and I have been doing live photo critiques each month on our weekly talk show (The Grid). They’ve become wildy popular and incredibly effective for not just the people who get their photos critiqued but also everyone else who gets to see the critique. It’s really eye opening to listen to what works/doesn’t work in a photo even if it’s not your own photos. So if you ever wanted go get in on the critiques you have another chance today. Our show goes live at 4pm EST. today. You can submit your photos to get critiqued over on our page here (no promises we can get to them but we’ll try our best). Hope you can at least stop by and check out the show. Thanks!
Hey Matt, you had an episode on Photoshop User about 8 bit versus 16 bit in Lightroom. Lightroom says that 16 bit is the preferred bit count. Could you elaborate more and do you change your settings in Photoshop to 8 bit as well. Thanks
Over the past two weeks or so EVERY time your page comes up on my computer (programed to load daily) I get a warning that your site has a Trojan?
Kaspersky, which is a very reputable AV program says this “http://lightroomktips.wpengine.com/ contains a Trojan program Trojan-Downloader.JS.Iframe.cxk. Detected”
What’s up – you may want to look into this as I do not want to sure your site as it appears to be unsafe in the worst kind of way – a Trojan.
Thanks!
Really liked this show and love to hear real honest critiques of different works. I was especially pleased that you picked my photos to go over and really learned something from the comments – some of the remarks didn’t set well at first but after thinking about it objectively I did see the point and it will only help me in the future.
Looking forward to the seminar with Matt in Lansing next week.
Guys,
Where, how, when can anyone see your “live at 4 PM” webcast? I tried my best yesterday to see it. I even contributed a few pictures. I went to iTunes; I tried every way into ” The Grid” – but nothing worked. I received no errors, no suggestions, could not locate any “how to” sections – nothing! Nada! Zilch!
Please re-think how we can access your LIVE webcasts. I even get your emails, but that is of no help. Am I missing something obvious? Am I the only one?
The four pictures submitted are on the theme of “windows”. With the exception of the picture shot in Oxford, England (2003), all others were shot within the past 3 weeks. All the recent pictures were shot with a Sony NEX-7 with a little Lightroom work in post. Any HDR work was done in the camera at the time of shooting since the NEX-7 has that as an option.
