The October Issue of Photoshop User Magazine Is Now Available
The October 2018 issue of Photoshop User (the official magazine for KelbyOne Pro members) is now live on the KelbyOne site and KelbyOne Mags for iOS and Android. This is our “19th Annual 100 Photoshop Hot Tips” issue. That’s right! Nineteen years of 100 hot tips. It’s hard to believe, but that means Photoshop User has been around for 20 years now!
Also in this issue, learn all about Photoshop CC 2019, which was just announced at Adobe MAX. Jay Nelson walks us through all the new features, and then Scott Valentine takes us on a deep dive into the new Content-Aware Fill workspace.
We’re also launching four brand-new columns in this issue based on our recent reader survey.
“Effects Toolkit” by Unmesh Dinda
“The Perfect Selection” by Mark Heaps
“Shortcut City” by Gilmar Smith
“Photoshop Q&A” by Dave Cross
KelbyOne Pro members have access to more than 60 back issues of Photoshop User magazine all the way back to January 2012, plus all 44 issues of Lightroom Magazine. Not a Pro member yet? Click here for more information.
Are Photoshop and Lightroom user mag available to purchase online? I can’t justify a Kelby Pro membership but I enjoy reading the magazines.
Nope. Those mags are owned by Scott Kelby organization. The only way you can get them anymore is if you buy his Pro membership fee. It’s sad.
Sandy it’s very sad. Not surprising.
Sorry, but not that I am aware of. When they were available on the magazine rack (for people without a subscription) they were $9.99 each. At 10 issues per year that would cost you $99.90 just for the magazine alone. An annual subscription to the Pro membership is $199, which includes all the magazines (Photoshop User and Lightroom User), plus all the video content (hundreds of classes), plus unlimited help desk support for Photoshop/Lightroom/gear, plus all the member-only discounts/free templates/presets and member-only forum. I hear from plenty of people who pay just for the help desk support alone.
Thanks Rob, just another reason I don’t subscribe to Kelby Pro membership. I’d rather have the option of buying one when I think the content is worth the price. It’s a shame that it’s not offered even in the digital format.
Hey Scott! Maybe some Lightroom and Photoshop users don’t want another subscription and just want to read about using the product.
You have a good point, Mark, and lots of people share that view. Unfortunately, that makes it difficult for the business to plan for cash flow. Many magazines have dropped print versions, and a few are switching to subscription only, with an option to purchase back issues after a few months.
Out of curiousity, would you be interested in options for purchasing individual digital magazine issues? How about individual articles or columns? Obviously prices would be different and hopefully reasonable. I have exactly zero influence with Kelby, but I do write for the magazine and can pass along any suggestions.
