Getting Finer Control In The Develop Module
It’s another awesome 60-second (or less) tip from Benjamin Warde and it’s another really handy one, too! 🙂
Thanks  Benjamin. Hope you all found that helpful! 🙂
Have an “at least it’s not Monday” kinda Tuesday! 🙂
Many thanks,
-Scott
P.S. Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a conference where you could totally lose yourself in learning Lightroom for three solid days? There is, and it’s coming in April to Orlando, Florida. You’re invited, ya know. 🙂
Try holding down [Shift] as you drag the slider.
Scott, These are great!!!
I’ve found that making many of these fine adjustments with the mouse and cursor leads to a very sore index finger and wrist after a while. One game-changing (for me at least) trick that I recently discovered was just to simply hover the mouse over the numerical value you want to change and use your other hand to press the up or down arrow keys. You can also hold shift with the arrow keys and it will make broader adjustments. No mouse clicking required. Using both hands helps me speed through adjustments and it helps prevent carpal tunnel and arthritis.
Darryl, I do it that way also. Much easier on the hands. Combined with the shift key and couple of up or down arrows you can really speed up your adjustments.
Darryl – this is a great way to make adjustments! I might have to do a follow-up video with your suggestion (I’ll be sure to give you credit). Thanks for sharing that. 🙂
Thanks! I think I stumbled across it in LIghtroom 3 or 4 (or maybe earlier). It’s one of the main features that got me to switch from Aperture back then. I couldn’t find anything about it in the documentation – I haven’t checked lately, but I’m not sure why they would leave something this useful out.
