Site News – Comments are turned on!

I’ve got some good news. I’ve turned on the comment feature for recent and new posts going forward. I’ve had a feedback form on the site that was created for feedback, not questions. I’ve realized that many of you have questions, and they’re going unanswered so I figured I’d let, you, the visitors help out with it. So now, discussions can grow and some useful information can get out there based on...

Back from Arizona

The Great American Photography workshop I hosted in Arizona is over and I’m back in the office. I’m bummed because we had a FANTASTIC group of people. But I can’t lie… I was really happy to actually sleep in and not see the sun rise today Here’s a shot (click for a larger version) of a few people from the group (we had 15 total). It was taken in the lower Antelope Slot Canyon and it was one of the killer...

Some photos from Arizona

My sold-out workshop in Page, Arizona kicked into gear yesterday and it’s shaping up to be a great week. Another Arizona Photo

Here’s (click here for a larger version) another photo from my Arizona trip. After shooting in one direction, I turned around to where the sun was rising from and saw this photo. My Hoodman loupe really came in handy here...

One more photo from Arizona

Here’s (click here for a larger version) one more from the sunrise shoot. Basically, when the sun comes up and the good light is gone, what’s there left to do? Naturally, you reach for your buddy’s 10.5 Fish Eye lens and start shooting right at the sun. Embrace it… become one with the sun and all of its LCD blinking, overexposed glory. This one was shot with the 10.5 Fish Eye at f/11 at 1/125 sec. Really basic...

Some Quick News

Check out Scott Kelby’s blog today. In fact, if Scott’s blog isn’t on your daily blog visit list then you’re missing out. Scott posts industry scoops and just plain cool and interesting stuff almost daily there. Anyway, he’s got a quick in-the-field report of the new Nikon D3 and it looks pretty sweet. Especially all the info about the low noise features claimed by Nikon (which is really what we all want...
