A Lightroom Tip and Some News

Here’s a few news items and a Lightroom tip at the bottom. Have a great weekend! • Grab a limited spiral bound edition of the Lightroom 3 Book for Digital Photographers, from the Call of Duty: Black Ops sniper himself, Scott Kelby • I’m just about to close up the signing of my new Layers book if you buy it from Kelby Training. Lightroom Tip – Search Presets

Scott turned me on to this tip in the Library module. If you turn on your Search Filter Bar (View > Show Filter Bar), you’ll see the bar appear at the top of the grid. In that bar you can, of course, choose your metadata, flag, and other filter-related searches. I was in New York last week at Photo Plus East and I realized something. So many people don’t use one of my absolute favorite features for getting around in Lightroom. First… story time. See, I was walking through the expo and some one stopped me to say hi. He also had a Lightroom question. Well, the question got pretty involved so I asked him if he had his laptop there to show me (I figured it would save both of us time)....
