  • A beta of Lightroom 2.7?! That means that Lightroom 3 is light years away. :-(

    • two separate development tracks… I bet we’ll see LR 3 by mid May at the latest, since CS5 is coming mid April…

  • hey matt,i like lightroom but always use ps to finish an image…i think i am more interested in cs5 with the content aware ffill than lightroom 3…if i keep latest lightroom 2 and just upgrade to cs5,will i be alright as long as i do free updates of camera raw for both aps? thanx

  • A new tutorial that would be go to teach. How to import your meta data templetes from Bridge to Lightroom.

  • Lyle: I hope you’re right, but I doubt it. Mid May is just a month away and LR 2.7 Beta is just out. A release of LR 2.7 the same week as 3.0? No way …

  • I have a D700 and these profiles really add some quality zip that was missing in the old ones. If you have a D3 or D700, give them a try ! Thanks for the link Matt, I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise, too many blogs to follow and remain sane.

  • Monday will be a great day.

  • I rebooted my machine sometime after loading the d700 and ds3 profiles… got prompted to backup security certs/keys for the encrypted file system… which I never knew I had of course. lol Apparently the zip you download has a folder with that attribute set, so when you install it on your system, you know have a folder which has keys and a cert associated with it. Windows knows you’ve never backed up the security related items… You can change the folder properties to remove this EFS stuff… and to see all the folders on your system with this attribute, you can pull up a command window and run “cypher /n /u”… just heads up to anyone surprised after loading this set of camera profiles on Vista (and perhaps others…) Lyle
