Matt, I love LR3 and Scotts book is great but I notice you say “and a freebie disc of all my LR presets that comes with it” not in the UK no disc in my book or any of the copies my friends have purchased

Is there any easy way to download all the LKT presets in one easy go?

Dear Matt,
Many thanks for all of the really helpful material you regularly share with us on your blog about getting the most out of Lightroom, even over here in the UK.
I’ve been a Lightroom user from the beginning and have just upgraded to LR3, but I’m now regretting it! Performance is very poor, to say the least.
LR2 was never blisteringly fast but LR3 is noticeably much more sluggish and clunky.
I understand that there are many other LR3 users experiencing performance problems too, that Adobe are aware of it and are working on a solution? Do you have any information about when a fix will be announced?
I really love my photography but now do not look forward to processing my images through LR3 as it is just TOO frustrating! These performance issues have taken the fun and creativity out of developing my images.
I keep my computer in top condition and have checked out all of the tips to help speed up workflow from yourself and also Lightroom Queen and others. These helped slightly with LR2 and even less so with LR3. I shoot in RAW with a Nikon D300 so the files shouldn’t be that unwieldy for LR3 to deal with. I understand the need to be patient and allow the software to load and render the image files before working on them. The develop Module is at least 2 – 3 times slower than LR2 in my opinion and promised improved performance was one of the reasons for upgrading.
Any advice would be really welcome.

There is another easy way to copy settings from one photo to another in the Develop module. It works with adjacent photos. Let’s say you worked on one photo and like the result, then you go to the photo right next to it and want to apply the same settings, you just click on the “Previous” button located at the bottom on the right sidebar.
You can also use a filmstrip to move two photos close together and then use the Previous button.
