Hi Matt,
I was wondering, is there a way to save multiple versions of files in Lightroom 2.4? My workflow has a few presets in it for uploading files to my blog and website which makes new copies of the files for each (different sizing requirements for blog vs. website). My problem is that I am always culling my images and what happens is that the image number “link” between the .nef and .jpg files breaks (I am so anal that I need to keep renaming the files, I cant take looking at sequence numbers that skip)! What would be helpful is to run a preset that creates the same image details as I create now but save it as a version linked to the .nef so they are always together.

The tutorial video for installing presets is not working. Can you fix it soon, I would love to use some of the free presets, thank you.

Hi Matt,

I’m busy playing around with colour grading my 5Dmk2II movies in Lightroom. I stack each clip as a sequence of Tiffs and do the colour etc.

The thing that is taking the most extra time is having to first open each stack, select all the images in the stack and then apply the setting. Is there a way of applying an preset or synchronising all the shots in the stack without having to open it first. It sound like I’m lazy but when each stack contain 500-3000 tiffs my Macbook Pro inevitably forces me to stare a lot into nothingness, read bad internet jokes and drink too much coffee while waiting for it to open up all the shots…

Hope there’s a fix for this. My previous 10 minute movie was 17500 tiffs….thats a lot of coffee….:-)

Bob, you’ll have to goto Page Setup on the bottom left of the screen, in the print module of LR 2, and create a custom print size with 0 as the margins and save it. Then you have to select your custom size from the Page Setup.

Steve, thanks for tip, on my Lightroom 2.2 can’t set margins to 0, “a number between 0.25 and 8.00 is required”.How to fix this?

What I did was create my own user templates for simple prints. For instance for my “4×6 paper” template I have some of the following settings
Image Settings – check only Rotate to Fit
Layout – set all margins to 0, set row and column page grid to 1 each, set cell size to 4.00 in Height and 6.00 Width.
Guides – whatever settings you like here.
Overlays – turn off everything.
Print Job – whatever settings you want here.

You set it up once, save it as a template and then you have it whenever you want!

Can someone out in Lightroomville tell me how I can just print off a simple 4×6 or 8×10 in Lightroom. I see all these neat print modules but for some reason cannot figure out how to do the simple stuff.
