Our company has grown to 4 photographers. How do we organize our file names so we can reduce time sorting?

Hi Matt,

I have a question on the Edit External File Naming.

After editing a file (090601-test-001.psd -> 090601-test-001-Edit.psd), is there a way when editing a copy of the PSD for it to add just another sequence number?

When saving the copy PSD LR2 just adds what ever text is in the naming sequence. i.e. 090601-test-001-Edit.psd -> 090601-test-001-Edit-Edit.psd. I've tried the other options in the sequence and date renaming menu, but cannot seem to find a way to get it to do what i want.

What I want is for a naming series like such...090601-test-001-Edit -> 090601-test-001-Edit1.psd -> 090601-test-001-Edit2.psd...etc. This way I can keep better track of different versions of the PSD file without having to start from scratch back at the raw file. If I start from the raw file, it names them the way that I like.

Will LR2 do what i am wanting or am I being dense and missing something?

Thanks,

Tony...

HELP!!!!!!

I have been trying to edit my weddings in lightroom using 2 different cameras and trying to organize the photos by capture time in order, but LR still seperates the images 50d and 30d. How can I get them MIXED together in order via capture time. Please, please help me a.s.a.p.
