To Debbie:

Split your catalog into two catalogs or maybe even three catalogs. A catalog of 4,000 images is over the limit of what that version of LR can handle effectively. Also, be sure to optimize the catalogs when they start acting strangely.

Hope this helps,
John

Hi Matt

Loved the Red Light website (must say the music could do with an off switch) and it has given me lots of ideas and enthusiasm. Could you (and this is a bit cheeky) work out a LR pre-set like their paper texture and antique ageing ones?

Matt, I'm a new user to lightroom and I have the last version before Lightroom 2 came out. In my libary it shows that I have over 4,000 images and that's about what I have loaded so far however, it will not show me the images any more it is only showing the number of photos that should be in the libary. The software only displays a thumbnail of the current images being imported. Help!!! What can I do to get all of the images to show within the lightroom libary.
Thanks for you response and much need help!

That great the HDRsoft responded. I'm sure they'll get those features in before long. And Either way you can do a video.

I love HDR. we have a whole category for it on Pro Photo Show and I can't get enough. Speeding it up and adding better workflow to it is just what it needs.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for all of the great tips, help and inspiration! I have a question about last weeks post where you referenced the photomatrix importing problems. I just installed the enfuse plugin and am having a similar problem; the "enfused" image is supposed to pop up in the library module after being processed right next to the master images but this is not occurring. The final image is in the catalogue and you can find it by keyword but that is the only way and it is a bit cumbersome. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Nice photography at Red Leaf, but frankly, websites with music on frontpage, which you can't turn off, too, are more than a bit annoying.
