Wednesday Video – Versions, Output and the Web

Hi Wednesday video watchers. I’ve got something very different this week when it comes to video tutorials. Instead of teaching you how to use a specific feature in Lightroom, we’ll take a look at how to use several of them together. The topic deals with processing photos and then coming up with a cool way to output them. It’s something I came across while preparing a site for a friend of mine but then I realized it had a lot of potential to anyone who wants to present different versions of photos to their clients (ie. color, black and white, tinted, etc…).     Hey Matt
    Just wanted to say that this blog is the first thing I check in the mornings. It has been a fantastic tool for me and many others judging by the comments posted here.

    Just thought I would share my take on your pano print template — I altered it, but the inspiration was all from your idea!!

    My puppy + garden hose = hilarious.

    Matt,
    I can’t remember but is there a way to export all of my presets. I am going to do a complete reinstall on my MacBook Pro and am hoping there is something faster than selecting each one sepretly.

    Matt, Great tip – though you must be a mind reader. Having discovered your presets, I wanted a way of seeing the different effects side by side, so I used virtual copies. Then made a web page as well – though used the fantastic Slideshowpro Lightroom add-in. See it here: http://www.sports-alive.com/imagewebs/velodrome/photos

    For John Beyer: All your presets are in the following folders: D:\Documents and Settings\gareth\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom or for Mac
    Users/[username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/

    Either export the whole tree, or just find your changed presets. I create different folders within the adobe folders for specific sets – so Matts develop presets are in Users/[username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets/Matts

    Hi Matt,

    I want to know how can I do when I have 1 photo into 2 different catalogs, how can I do to make changes in one catalog and see them into the other catalog…..

    Hi Matt,

    Love all your wonderful tips. AND, your presets are wonderful! So easy to work with.

    So, I am wondering if you can answer this one: I used iWeb to create my website. I want to be able to use Lightroom’s slideshows, especially after this cool tip! So, I do I go about placing the Lightroom slideshows into the iWeb inspector?
