This question is a tad old now, but I just recently started using Lightroom again, but I just realized that I did a lot of work on LR 2 Beta, but I need that to go into LR 2 (the actual release). How do I do this? Is this the same as transferring LR 1 stuff to LR 2 beta as mentioned above?

Thanks, -Tony

OK, how do you get the new LR too install over the LR 2 Beta. The message I get is, 'that it can't since I have a newer version on my Mac' - the 30 day trial in longer over so it can't be used.....

I sent 3.25 hours on hold today with Adobe and I hung up knowing they had closed at 5 PM and I would be on hold until tomorrow.... ooops Monday.

I have used Version 2 but found that the photo's opened in PS CS3 have totaly diiferent colours than they appear in Lightroom V 2.
I compared the settings between 1.4 and 2 but can't find any difference.
This does not happen with V 1.4. The photo's look the same in V1.4 as in PS CS3.
Has one n explaination for this?

Adam: if the presets are placed in the correct folder, in application support/adobe/lightroom/dev, then I found that they can be used from both versions of LR

Here's are 2 questions that've been bugging me and likely others have asked them.
What is the difference between "Clarity" and sharpening?

Is The Vibrance Slider similar to manipulating the curves inside LAB colourspace?

I've tried LR2 a little but one of the big new features, its integration with Photoshop isn't working for me. I simply get a message that Photoshop CS3 isn't installed, but it is. I can't use any if the edit in Photoshop options including Panorma, which would be a really nice feature and save me going into the bridge. Any idea how to fix this? Anyone else having this problem?

Concerning ship date.

Per the Lightroom Blog http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/
Q: When does the beta expire?
A: August 31, 2008

I would expect the product to ship at or around that date.

Simple question...anyone, anyone...Can I not import new photos, edit all day in the Beta LR, export to another location and reimport to LR1....just can't go back and adjust changes? In other words...act like LR2 is it, just save work before Beta expires and I download the final version of LR2 .

Less flexibility sure, but usuable yes, versus just playing with it on test shots.

Thanks

LIGHTROOM MUST: Check out the Julieanne Kost - The Complete Picture - Episode 1, for Lightroom cropping on Adobe TV. It is 28 minutes of constant note taking on how Lightroom does it and why you should. If anything there is too much here without the capability to permanently store. Strongly suggest Adobe put it on iTunes or suffer the download resources. tv.adobe.com/#
